Downloading the Python Interpreter

The screenshot below is from a Mac, however the installation process in Windows is exactly the same.

Getting Python

• Go to the Python download page:

  http://www.python.org/downloads/Links to an external site.

  Select the newest version (Python 3.14.3 at the time of this writing):

  

Open the package that appears at the bottom of your browser screen or in your Downloads folder.  Unless you know you want something different, just select all the default options.  Next we will install PyCharm.
